2025 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28: The Final Chapter of a Legend!
2025 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Is Chevy putting an end to the legendary ICE-powered muscle era? According to the report by Car and Driver, Chevy aims to pull out a robust successor of the legendary fifth-generation Z/28 before the bay gets swapped by lithium-ions.
ICE-Era Replaced by EVs!
In a recent report, Chevrolet has scheduled to exit the production of its prodigious blocks, substituting with the EV’s platform, anytime at the end of 2024. The successor of the fifth-generation Camaro Z/28 is going to set the benchmark for its class, being the last generation to equip the hot rods, defining its ancestral aura.
The Z/28 is said to follow substantial weight reduction, replacing steel with carbon fiber and eliminating the rear seat, including sound-deadening material. The 2025 Camaro Z28 will be propelled by General Motor’s Alpha Platform like the current Z/28 featuring a longitudinal engine layout. Plus the Brembo Carbon Ceramic rotors and calipers, and Multimatic spool valve dampers for enhanced chassis.
Most likely the customers are expecting a 670 horses LT6 block for the upcoming Z/28. However, the emissions regulation might prevent this outcome. Yet the prodigious pre-existing 650 horses block from ZO6 justifies the Z/28 glory, a six-speed manual gear would be a plus. For such immense thrust, the R-Comp treads will remain intact on the tarmac for no on-road drama.
Is the Z/28 a Limited Edition?
Chevrolet plans to produce the successor 2025 Camaro Z/28 in a controlled number, limiting the production to 1,000 units or possibly less. The Z/28 2025 is expected to arrive at the dealerships anytime in the fall of 2024 (without being more transparent about the exact dates) if all proceeds as planned.
